As purchased, my 500E did not have the chrome strip (center) door handles; as such, I had all the handles removed, sanded, and painted along with the rest of the car, about 6 months ago. I left all rubber gaskets black, to avoid unsightly cracking, later, and the "homemade paint-job" look.

I will take a close up shot of a door handle and post it, by 10PM (PDT) tonight.
