I have just bought some Yokohama AVS DBs for my E500 in 245/45ZR-17. Overall they are fantastically comfortable and quiet tyres, much quieter than my 205/55-16 XGTZ4s which I have mounted on my wagon. The handling is also great, although they are not as sharp as a Pilot Sport or XGT Z4.
Although they are all-season, ultra-high performance, I belive I should have bought Pilot Sports to really do justice to the E500. Hence I am considering the notion of selling them (have used them for about 100 miles only).
They would make fantastic candidates for the SL or even E class, when the vehicle is fitted with 17" wheels.
Tirerack sells these for $144 each. I would entertain $110 each.
