Hi

I assume that the soft top locks without problems? Does the front soft top need significant 'pull down' force to achieve lock?

Make sure the windows are fully down.
Make sure engine is running - just in case of low battery voltage.

Try applying a little pressure simultaneously with pushing the button to the left then right of the hard top front where the locks are. If the roof locks with this assistance the locks may need simply adjusting.

According to MB data, the maximum wear at the center of the soft top or hardtop latches is 5mm. Take a vernier caliper and measure the difference between the locking edge of the latch and the center and replace if necessary, though I suspect adjustment of the locking mechanism would probably suffice and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't see any wear on the hardtop latches - no-one surely regularly takes the top on and off!

That's as much as I know - best wait for the 'gurus' for more info..

Lea
