The urban legend as told to me was that when a MB dealership or authorized body shop repaints, they move the emblem to the right side. Mine is the second I have seen that way. The first car I saw was repainted by a MB dealer's bodyshop in Atlanta, as I recall. I do not know who or where the respray was done on my car...

It is quite possible the body shop just messed up in its replacement (more probable reason)...

I have thought about moving it, but don't want to tempt fate...
