Thks - I am also leery of putting all 4 up on jack stands which are all I have access to for now. I used to have solid wood `stands' when working underneath,

Anyway - turned out the front pads were worn out and I replaced them whilst rear ones are still in good enough shape that I could afford to wait and not throwing out good pads.

I shall tackle the job in mid-summer.
