I have an occasional antifreeze smell in the car while driving and have learned about some o-rings that are part of the heater core. I have not been able to figure out where they go? My car is a souther car with most of the rubber on it ether dried out and hard or cracked, so I am working on the assumption that the O-rings are a good starting place. Has anyone ever replace them with out having to replace the heater? I will do that if need be, but I hope to skirt that job, as I hear it is a real pickle.
