"It was on monday like any other monday...

Nighttime...

10:30...

The sky was dark and stoplight stayed green long enough for me to pass under it.
On the right there was a Gold Star, a cell phone place and past them, closer to the road a UDF. All the good icons of Cincinnati.
I'd driven this road many times, many monday nights, and she was still there. Looking out at the road, asking me to come inside and find her owner.
This monday was no different, same bundtcakes, same gloss on the hood, same 4 headlights, wider than mine but the same size. She was long...stretched...almost like a W123 that God thought was a foot too short.
My Monday night confidence.
As long as the dark red 300SD was parked in front of the Gold star, then all was well with the world. And the world was well tonight.

Someday I'll roll into that lot, check out the decklid, look for rust, or hunt down the owner that must work at gold star....someday..."
