MB is about as un OBD compliant as any manufacturer. You will get no mode 5, 6, or 9 that I know of. You should get some Parameter IDs pids in Mode 1. I doubt if freeze frame will work Mode 2, Mode 3 is fault codes which should work. Mode 4 is reset and should work. Mode 5 is sensor evaluation and I don't think MB reports. Mode 6 is monitor test reports evap, cat efficiency etc. MB also doesn't report. Mode 9 is calibration ID and I don't think MB reports.
