Talking Poetic Justice

Today I savored the pleasure of participating in the decision to deny a multi-million dollar contract to my previous employer.

I left my previous employer in bitterness and disgust after enduring years of corporate turmoil, offshore outsourcing, benefit reductions, layoffs, threats, questionable sales ethics, ungodly hours, and flat out lies done in order to "win the deal or else...". It was so bad that they actually fired several members of executive management shortly before my departure, and the CEO shortly after my departure.

Recently, that previous employer came to my current employer - also a Fortune 500 company - with a proposal to provide various support services.

I am recognized as a national expert in my particular field, and have done numerous industry publications, and am extremely well aware of the capabilities of my previous employer in the specific technologies and services that they are trying to sell.

By assisting my new employer with the appropriate "due diligence", I was able to save us a ton of money, plus deny an unethical company a mutli million dollar contract, and ensure the best service for my new employer.

That really feels good!
