That's a fine looking car, and if I were in the area I'd certainly want to take a look at it. I don't know about the whole "private auction" thing though...

I'm fortunate to have one of the 4 speed 240D's myself. I've never driven an automatic 240D, but from what I've been reading over the years I think the auto 240D and the 4-speed 240D are two totally different animals.
