Chuck,

Not sure, but it sounds like you are trying to remove the thrust pin from the visco coupler. It should be a simple matter of removing the four 10mm bolts that hold the fan to the pully. It has been suggested to use two 10mm box wrenches, one to hold the fan steady and the other to turn the bolts. I have always had good luck just using one wrench and giving a fast yank to loosen the bolt. I get them all started before removing any.
