I think the mounting bolts were removed with a 30 or 35 torx after I got them out anf lookes they were allen? There where 4 10mm bolts and a angle braket that hold the rear of the starter. there is a 6 or 8mm and 12 or somehting holding the wires to it. I end up removing air cleaner and work top and bottom depending on which bolt it is. After nearly and hour twisting, turning, kussing trying to get the loose starter to come out of engine compartment I finally removed steering damper 30 minutes later more kussing I concluded the motor had to come out! stood up off the ground and the thing fell out on it's own? The new one went in with a little twisting and turning pretty easy.
Did this in a parking lot with floor jack and two jack stands total time around 3 hours or so. First time I ever tried it, I had grease up to my shoulders that took about 5 washes to get clean enough to drive home.
