#1. The arrangement of everything to accomodate eyes-on-the-road driving. Even the Becker is that way. The buttons and knobs are large enough that peripheral vision does the trick.
#1.001. The seats are perfect. I like the firmness and the various adjustments and I also like the controls.
#1.002. The very small blind spots in the mirrors and easy view of traffic with a turn of the head. I depend heavily on mirrors and peripheral vision.
#1.003. The smooth, constant acceleration to about 80 mph (w124 300E and E320). It's not jumpy anywhere and with good tires comfortably and quietly holds to the road.
#2. The star.
#6. "You have a Mercedes? Wow!" Getting less of that. Probably because of recent well-reported reliability and quality control dificiencies as compared to comparable Japanese cars. Too bad.
