Yeah, and the best mileage I have seen is 35mpg going 60mph in 100% interstate highway driving, so I'm sure that guy is full of it.

That's interesting that you do that too. I discovered the 1st gear idle at 5mph awhile ago. It's a nifty trick. I can't use it too often since the traffic signals cause stop and go mostly.
35mpg!....I can barely crack 25mpg going 60mph until the tank runs out with my W115 240D
