Vibration issue almost solved
I replaced the front rotors , bearings and pads and the vibration was just as severe if not worse. I am not kidding I tried to slow the car down on GA-400 from 80 and the star on the hood bounced all over the place that it turned into a haze. It was that voilent.
So I had the car up on the ramp and we checked the suspension. On a whole everything felt tight, the steering, wheels etc. We felt the tires and it looks like the side belts were broken on three of the four tires. I had those replaced and the car rides a lot better and stops a lot better. There is still a pulse from the brake pedals which I suspect is the rear discs so these are now on order.
Other work done includes:
New plugs
New rotor
New spark plug wires
Coolant flush
ATF filter and fluid change (made a world of difference).
I still need to sort out the A/C. I have a 25lb Cylinder of R406a in the trunk and its as hot as hell in the car. There is a massive leak coming from the front , but its so tight in there I have no idea where its coming from. Is there an R12 leak detector that I can get?
