Over the past week, I drove my 163000 total miles 1993 300D Turbo, 520 miles from New Smyrna Beach Florida to Charlotte, NC. She purred like a kitten and I was utterly surprised that the 300 D diesel got 42 MPG on the highway. My Toyota Tacoma usually get 20mpg. I figured it out that the effective price per gallon of fuel was taken down from $2.56/per gallon with a gasoline engine to the long range diesel attacker at $1.25 per gallon.

I would like the prized opinions of my fellow W124 300D drivers and would like to know what headlights are preferred to dress her up a little. I have seen clear, smoked, and a myriad of different types of headlights that might enhance this car..Thanks ahead of time
