The braided hose can be replaced with any equivalent hose from an auto parts store. It is not under any pressure, it is merely the feed from the reservoir to the pump.
I don't recall any difficulty removing the reservoir. Just remove the cap, move the return line out of the way, and slide it up and out. Don't remember any retaining screws or nuts that need to be removed.
The filter is more of a fine strainer - it will be obvious when you remove the cap from the reservoir. It's only a few dollars, but is equally effective to just wash it in some mineral spirits and let dry.
Any leaks are definately not causing wandering at highway speeds.
Be certain to use the correct fluid when refilling the self-leveling reservoir. Incorrect fluid (eg motor oil) can cause expensive damage to the components of the suspension system.
