Well, new ignition points fixed my jumpy tach! But the car now runs bumpy all around!! So I dropped by the local merc fixit guy down the block and he hooked it up to his magic machine and said, hey, you are only running on 6 of the 8! Big surprise. One plug was all oiled up, too.

So I give, he is going to go thru the whole thing and see what else might be amiss in there. Not sure of the cost, but parts permitting, it should be back on an even keel in one day. I sure will miss having to mess around under my hood every nite! And wonder how she will run the next AM...

I'll post the results next week when I return from the camping trip I can't get out of...
