Yeah by the time the oil got hot enough I would be almost there...
Biodiesel doesn't suffer that fate.
Prefab processors cost $3,000 more than I can stomach....and haven't found sources for all the parts to home brew one....then there is the mentoring issues to get started...but with $3.20 a gallon prices and the fact I go through about 20 gallons a week thats a pretty good motivation to get moving.
