We have had fuel lines here that average a 3 hour wait since the day after Katrina hit. I got in touch with medmech by cellphone and he researched the veggie oil option for me here and I have not had to wait in one fuel line. Also, the oil I found was .$75 cheaper per gallon than diesel.

Things are getting closer to normal today, so I probably only burned 1/2 tank, but I was very popular--not having to worry about fuel and zipping around making deliveries and running errands for stranded friends.
