Why does everyone care about what the exhaust smells like? Not trying to be rediculous but unless I am planning to commit suicide with the exhaust, I am barely able to smell whether it is diesel or gas when I pull up the car into my garage and then close the door and get out of the car. Even if it does smell like lilacs, the exhaust pipe is pointing out the rear and I won't be able to smell it while driving unless I pipe it into the cabin. So once again, what is the difference what it smells like? I'd rather be smelling gas exhaust than diesel if I had to choose but personally, I would rather not smell either. Until I hear people talk about it, I have never given a thought to what the exhaust smells like since I am not sniffing it for the most part.
