Visited United Energy in Aiken, SC this afternoon to top off on some of their B20 goodness and some B100. Spoke to Scott and he informed me that their distribution location in West Columbia on Fish Hatchery Road will also have the same fuels as at their Aiken location. That means they will have E85, B100 and B20 at the pump.

Currently they are laying down the foundation for the pumps and will be done in a few weeks 4-6 weeks? I'll call them in 3-4 weeks for an update. Not only is their fuel the best I've run as far as MPG's and engine performance and quiteness, it's very very reasonably priced in comparision to ROTGUT diesel at every station around.

I just bought a 93 300D 2.5 to commute between Rock Hill and USC Columbia campus. If you could give me a heads up when bio is available in Columbia, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to give it a try.

The SPINX gas/truck station at I-85 at the Hwy 14 exit in Greer sells B-20 for the same price as Dino as well as E85 for FFV cars. The B20 is called something like BIOWILLIE, endorsed by Willie Nelson......

Went to the United Energy location in Columbia on Fish Hatchery Rd - beautiful new pumps, and plenty of them. B20 @ 2.689 while diesel was 2.859 - the instant I turned the car on it was already quieter and smoother, although my reserve light was already on it didn't have to dilute much with the previous stuff in the tank.

Fill 'R' Up guys!!!!!

I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's so easy to get there as well. Take 77 to exit 1 - at the end of this exit, go straight across this intersection onto Fish Hatchery Rd and it'll be a half mile on the right. From NE Columbia it took me about 20 minutes, since it's all highway. The mileage just by looking at my fuel gauge is right on par the last times I filled up with their fuel, EXCELLENT.

Topped off the tank. Traveled 318 miles and added 11.2 gallons... 28.4MPG for a mix of city and hwy.

Excellent MPG's so far. Price fell too. $2.519/gallon

Added some Primrose BioD additive to keep things minty fresh

I filled up early in the week, drove around 350 mi then filled up again to last until I go back to USC next week. First fill-up was probably 3/4 of a tank. My mileage was 32.4 mpg--that's somewhere around 2 mpg less than I typically get for the same route with dino. The engine is quieter, tho. I will stick with it.

The MPG's for me are strange. I know the BioD hjas slightly less energy contant that dino. It's probably the dino they use to mix has a high BTU content.

I always top off my tank so that I see the fuel level in the filler neck. That way I know I fill it to the same level for consistent readings. Takes me a while, but it sure worth it.

MD..how do you like your 93 300D? Tell us about it...how many miles..take a picture...I live in Charlotte?

Micha: I'll continue to check the mpg, as I know that there can be inconsistencies.My dino figure of 34.3-34.4 is an average over many trips using the same route (home-school), so I feel confident it is repeatable. I'll have to do the same thing for the B20. That will take a few weeks.

iceman: I love the car. I'll post a pic over on the thread where you posted yours.
