Just took pictures . It was dark . You can kind of see the big hunk out of the #3 cylinder and all the scoring. It felt like a badly grooved brake rotor.

I don't think the scoring is WVO related, something got sucked into the engine.

Pull #3 piston and take pics of the rings. I'd bet they are stuck and bedded in carbon.

thats been caused by a broken ring .The ends of the ring have probably busted the ring lands in the piston too . Unless you want to sleeve it ,($$)it 's not worth rebuilding and would be great source of parts for one with a better block. Rings only get broken in those engines when starter fluid is used or the engine was overheated at some time.

I don't know... it looks like there was a build up in the engine , deposits if you will... here is are shots of the head, the one to pay close attention two would be cyl 5... shown in a closeup here...

It's a 14 head... No obvious cracks that I can see.

I should know something soon. Btw, I have your 3/4 driver and your magnetic pickup tool... I'll get them up to you in a bit. I'm hoping to make the trip back up to get that dash etc soon.

Great. You mean 3/8 driver i think. Also see if you have my 1/4 " ratchet :) Looking forward to getting the parts off of this thing. This tool mixup always happens to me . I'm going to paint my tools green i think.
