Suspended water will form bubbles on the bottom of the pan while free water will crackle and pop.

The free water should settle.

May I suggest to buy a box of virgin oil and dump it into your tank and see how she runs?

So Jason SVO has the answer that I was looking for. If suspended water will cause bubbles in the bottom of the heated wvo with no popping and crackling, then that's what I have. Now my question is how to get the water out. As I said, my insulated barrel with the drum band heater will only get the oil to 180f. Would it raise the temp much higher if I got another band heater? I just don't want to waste the money if it's not going to work.
I was under the impression that if I bought the system that I have now ( centrifuge, band heater, insulated drum) that it would remove the suspended water, but apparently I was wrong.
As for the suggestion of trying virgin oil, I don't see why that wouldn't work because it runs fine on diesel. Attached is a pic of the type of centrifuge that I have for reference. Thanks.
