w124 B-pillar reinstall
I removed my B-pillars and had them recovered by a local upholstery shop. Removal is easy. Reinstallation is not going so well. Can anyone tell me how the pillar is supposed to interact with the two black plastic clips that are attached to the frame and go under the chafing strip? They are about 8 inches from the top if the pillar on either side. As best I can tell, there is nothing more than the top clip and the bottom plastic cover that hold this in place yet it is not snug for the top third and there is a gap between the cover and the edge of the chafing strip.
Many thanks, Rich

I believe that the door trim does much of the holding.
