my 400E got "keyed" in Wichita...
I cannot believe some pathetic low-life did this. keyed both sides and a smidge of the hood.
anyway, my body guy thinks it is salvageable with maybe a $2000 investment and blening in, not a total respray. Anybody gone through this kind of repair? My body guy replaced a smashed rear bumper after my son was rear-ended and did a great job matching paint. I'm wondering if a total respray is more in order to fix front nicks and stone chips... Any stories/advice welcomes. Thanx.

I think somebody recently keyed a bunch of Powerpig's cars and broke off the hood ornaments. He's very particular about the finish on his cars and has some very nice Benzes. You might PM him and see how he handled that.
