Problem switching out my headunit *83SD*

I just got a JVC 180watt cd player, and im having trouble finding out how to install the new one. I have pulled out the old Becker, but im stuck on which wires hook on to which.

I've snipped the L and R speaker wires, Im assuming that they are only for the front, right?

I've found out which wire is the atenna wire, but where do i hook that to? the accesorry?

Also those 2 ground wires, Am i sopposed to screw that in the back on the new HU also? OR with the Batter and Power?

Im clue less to what wires are in the main connector, and where do i hook them up with? Which wires are in there?

I have only hooked up 2 sets of speaker wires.
I still need to hook up the
Battery
Accesory
Remote ( i dont have one)
Power
And 2 more speaker wires.

Can someone expalin to me how i install my Head Unit?

These 79 Beckers are getting to me.

Please help me out

Try the car audio forum. Try also posting the model number of the JVC unit. I'm quite sure no one knows which specific 180w unit you have.

JVC's website might have installation manuals available for download.

i believe these cars speakers are wired to the fader in the middle. i would advise u to run new wires to each speakers. so if that is done with u only need to find constant 12v ignition and ground. and remember black doesn't always mean ground on these cars. sometimes brown is ground.

Doh! I thought you knew the MB wiring but not the stereo. Sorry about that.

Be careful with MB wiring. Brown is ground, black is power.

Thanks guys, i wired it in Tuesday night, right when that storm coming in, bout 2am. THe way i found the power was by unpluging the black connector on the 4 pin connector. When i unpluged that the radio wouldnt turn on, SO i knew that had to be the power.
I snip and wired the red wire the the Remote (also red) and the other i left untouched. And the only ground left i attached it to the black ground.

The Antenna wire (blue) I attached it to the Accesory (blue)

Someone should make a Cd Installation thread and have it stickyied
