Antenna Not Working After Blown Fuse-85 300SD
Hello All,
Yesterday I posted a problem regarding dome light/interior courtesy lights not working and have since replaced all fuses. The lights are now working (Fuse #15 was fried), but my antenna IS NOT! I noticed that these items are all on the same fuse circuit. Still picking up local radio, although some stations are fuzzy. I have tried to operate the dash antenna switch to no avail, it doesn't move at all. Any suggestions guys? 85 300SD, 226k, Astral Silver |

Did you find out what blew the fuse in the circuit in the first place? If there is a problem, the fuse should blow again until corrected. It could be that some previous owner changed something and what should be on the same circuit may now not be, like the lights and antenna.
You'll have to do some detective work on the antenna power wire if the fuses are all OK and the lights on the fused circiut are all working. There should be a separate fuse for the radio power and the antenna power. The trigger wire for the antenna from the radio goes to the switch first.
