My radio does not work. I replaced and cleaned the fuses both in the car and under the hood and it worked until i drove the car and it died. are there other fuses i can check associated with the radio? any help at all would be appreciated!

Usually those radios had a fuse in line with the power line of the radio (ceramic). If that fuse blows or you are not getting power to the radio because of it, probably it means the output section (amplifier) of the radio is drawing too much current and would require repair. If you are sure you want to keep this radio and get it repaired I think you could find someone to repair it although would most likely be expensive. They were expensive to repair even in their day and parts are always an issue as they use discrete components that are surely not available now. For radio repair services you might want to check in Hemming Motor News under the services section..Needless to say check volltage at the radio with a test light to make sure 12v is reaching the radio itself. You might also want to call or contact these folks. http://www.lajollaaudiorepair.com/lar.htm
