Thumbs up Which radio wires go where? W126

Sorry to crosspost, but I assume I'll get a bit more info here as opposed to the Diesel subsection...

Okay gang. I need help putting the OE harnesses back in the dash of my '85 SD. I snagged a bunch from the bone yard today.

I got the offset 4 Pin one. Flat one that goes beside it. Speaker ones. Those are pretty basic to put back into place.

So that leaves me with some mystery wires...

I have a single one that's blue I with a spade connection? No clue as to where the ash tray and it's light wires go. Also, there's a pack of 3 wires that are Brown - Black w/ Yellow tracer - Brown.

Thanks for any help on those mystery wires...

The blue wire is the power antenna wire. Not sure about the others.

Soild blue or blue with the colored tracer? Or the one that plugs to the radio?

This helps a lot!

Back when I worked at a stereo store we had a book called a Scosche(sp?) book. This had vehicle specific info for lots of different cars. Perhaps a friendly shop would let you copy a page or two on their fax machine or something. Just a thought.

I'm very close now guys!

I have to find a memory wire (any thoughts on that one?) and need to identify that blue w/ the spade connection that's not for the antenna.

Is the blue wire with spade the only wire with a spade?
Could this be chassis ground?
And could the memory wire be 12 vdc unswitched?
Like you said just some thoughts.
I haven't done a head unit since 1985...

Just looked in here... sometimes I do not get instant emails despite I choose them.

Well there are two back there with a spade that are blue... one's the antenna the other is a mystery. Perhaps it's for the factory alarm I have?

I found the Unswitched 12V also now.

Next up is to Crazy Glue or JB Weld (or combo of the two) in some of the broken support brackets and such that hold the ashtray in and also the radio. Then I'll have to figure out how to hold this radio in place... but I highly doubt anyone wants to try to boost a 1993 model JVC CD player that I received for free from a bone yard.

White = R+
Red = R-
Yellow = L+
Blue = L-

That's all I can add.

(this is what my 1990 300SE has).
