Front speakers 560SL
Looking at putting Infiniti Kappa 32.5cf 3-1/2" speakers in the dash of my 87 560SL. Any modifications to speakers or dash required to get those installed? Are there any other decent speakers that fit well?

I recommend using a 4 inch speaker as it will fit with minimal modifications to the speaker and a 3.5 inch is too small...There are plent of options and I am sure infinty 4 inchers would be fine....

'87 560-SL speakers
I looked up www.crutchfield.com to find out that the size of the speakers in my car is 3 1/2". I read on this website from a mercedes specialist that 4" speakers fit better. Any thoughts on this comment ? I'm hesitant to do anything until I get feedback. Thank you.

I dont know why you need any more feedback than what you read.... I have been putting 4 in speakers in 107 body sl's for 25 years.... If that doesnt answer your indecision I cant help you... This is just what crutchfield says.

Those Infinity need quite a bit of power to sound decent as they're not too efficient. Also, when I had them in my Z (75w rms) they were VERY shrill at higher volumes.
I'd recommend listening to many pairs of speakers before deciding on what fits you. Just my 2¢ on them...
