Radio/Antenna 560SL
Hello all...
My Hirshmann antenna is not responding to the on/off button of my Becker Grand Prix. The antenna extend and retract only when using the dashboard switch. Any suggestions ??? Best regards...Lee

I have the same radio on my 1987 560SL but would only be guessing that a connector on the back of the radio may have come loose. Do your self a favor and call Becker of North America. Becker handles the antennas as well. They are very telephone friendly and have always been willing to discuss vintage Mercedes Becker problems. Here is there website address:

Thanks for the reply. Today I've noticed that the radio stays on all the time even when ignition is off and key out !!! The on/off button is not responding to the off position. Had to disconnect the battery waiting to solve this puzzle. Best regards...Lee

Removed the radio, all wiring are tightly connected.
Called Becker and they said there is a short in the radio itself. Today the radio is on its way to New Jersey... Best regards to all. Lee
