Antenna Parts?

I was wondering if anybody knows where I can buy individual parts for a Hirschmann antenna. I'm looking for the small parts at the base of the mast, in particular, and also the exterior chrome nut that surrounds the mast and covers the antenna hole. The antenna I had was a brand-new replacement for the original on my '84 300D, and I hate to have to replace the whole thing just because I lost a few little parts.

When I bought the car, the orig. ant. was shot, but the seller provided a brand new Hirsch., still in the box. I'm not sure if it was the exact replacement, because the housing of the ant. was different, in other words, it seemed like it was just suspended straight down from the mast rather than the way the orig. fit. Bonehead me put it together, but wasn't in a hurry to anchor the new ant. in some fashion. So eventually, the housing unthreaded itself from the ring, and the whole ant. fell down inside the trunk. I have the little twin-gear type thing, and the mast is still intact with the housing. I know I definitely need the new outside ring. I'm not sure what other little parts I need. I remember seeing a web site which had an exploded view of the Hirschmann, but now I can't find it anywhere. Do you know of any place that sells those pieces?

Thanks a lot for the information. I don't why I didn't think of a salvage yard. There's an import-only one pretty close to me. I'm sure they've got a couple of Mercedes sitting around. If not, I'll look into the other sources you suggested.

I was surprised that Hirschmann didn't have a decent web site. I guess it's a matter of volume for them. They're not making much dough scrounging up little parts for an antenna.

Again, I really appreciate your suggestions; they'll give me some options to play with in resolving this problem.
