I know this has been addressed by many people, but I don't think anyone mentioned reusing the stock plastic holders. I would like to do this because my rear deck isn't in the best of shape and I don't think it would hold the speakers securely. After looking at the plastic housing, it seems to me that 5 1/4 speakers would fit. Has anyone done this? Any speaker recommendations?
Thanks Darryl

My speaker baffles weren't large enough for my 5 1/4"s
They are Blaupunkt with a fairly large diameter magnant. I mounted them under the shelf board material. They barely fit in with the shelf installed. I had no room for speaker baffles but, instead I put some foam material in to "cushion" the speakers and the rest of the rear board. You could also use dynamat under the shelf board material at a higher cost. I couldn't find any around in Canada but, if your in the states Crutchfield has it on their website. Good luck with your 190E brother! Mike McKinney
