W124 Rear Deck speakers

Has anyone managed to shoehorn 6" speakers into the rear deck of a w124 with little or no modification other than maybe some speaker rings or something? Of not, can someone recommend a speaker that will fit, sound good, and actually be purchased locally (Bestbuy, etc.) I'm sure certain brands will fit better than others. I tried to put some 5.25 sonys back there when I first bought the car, but didn't really fit very well. Thanks!
