Radio problems increasing
The car, '01 E-320 4Matic wagon w/Bose System w/CD changer. First, the LCD display disappeared and now the CD function has stopped. I doesn't matter what buttons or sequence I try to get it to work...NO CD playing. This tells me I headed for a new head unit. Who has replaced the radio in said car and with what. Not going to do the speakers, not necessary. Just the head unit. Thanks, Dennis

Just in case you weren't aware both Alpine and Becker have exchange/repair programs for their radios. You can contact them directly or go thru a dealer.

Or possibly the D2B was never configured. Changes can be made and work fine, but can eventually develop problems.
