Becker Radio

I own a 83, 300 Turbo (123 model) and currently have the original Becker Radio in the vehicle. The light does not work. What do I need to replace the light and have the panel eluminate again? Or is there someone that reworks these radios?
Thanks

The decoder is a MB special tool, never sold to the public.

if you have a becker 754 which was standard on most 87 models there is no code.if the radio is removed with the alarm system active 4 dashes will appear on display.the only option then is to send the unit to becker for service.lamentable but true

There is NO code...

This is an electronic device that must be docked to the radio, and a relearn procedure followed.

Everyone note that Becker of North America has undergone some changes in New Jersey. But Ed Ebel and his guys are still at it, giving more attention than ever to classics and older cars.

Their website is still http://www.beckerautosound.com/ which has all the latest contact information.

Here is a shout out for Becker Autosound- I called them about my headunit which had a faulty volume control and the tape cassette was broken. They said I can either send mine in or drive up, since I am only 2 hours away I drove rather than have my wife with no radio for 2 weeks. I also wanted an AUX port for ipod or satellite radio.

They were supposed to have one ready to swap out, but didnt so they pulled mine out and rebuilt it in about 45 minutes and installed it back in. The tech even noticed my antenna mast was broken and $75 and 5 minutes later I had a brand new one.

Great shop and great service!
