In my 99 E430 with MB radio when playing the CD changer it will randomly lock up. Sometimes it will say no changer, other times it will freeze all the controls on the radio. I can shut it off and turn it back on and it may work. I tried to remove and clean the fiber optic cables. Any ideas ? THANKS

no it has a model 3302 radio with a 6 disc changer and a Bose amp tied to the radio via fiber optic cables. there is no gateway in that car. Audio gateways started in the E class in 2003.
