There are 4 wires going to the amp, well 5 actually.

Do you have the correct crossover selected on the amp? I assume you'd want low pass since you're going to the subs. You may want to adjust the cutoff, or try a different crossover to see if the subs respond. |

Ok, let me start out by saying that I am a moron.

I thought I was adjusting the volume on the amp, and I was adjusting the frequency. I had it wired correctly (well, kind of). The subs are not hitting well, and I'm pretty sure it has to do with how I have the crossover wired. They sound muffled and aren't really hitting. So, if i unplug just one of the RCA cables, then only one speaker hits, but it hits HARD and sounds good. At first, I thought this meant that I had a blown speaker, but if I plug the RCA into either slot, one or the other speaker hits hard. So, I don't think I'm dealing with a blown sub. So, I thought maybe the RCA cable is bad, but the same thing here...If I used the other side of the RCA on either of the subs, it hits hard. I feel like this is probably something I'll be able to figure out by trying out different combinations of set ups, but I wasn't really able to get to it last night, as before I could, my roommate accidentally broke my antenna mast
