the rear deck speakers were out when i got the car. no damage and the headrests work, thank god. i did consider free air as i have used them in the past and they really kick, if they are infinate baffle woofers. and 8" would fit perfectly in the fact cut outs (i fitted one), but to my knowledge, there are only 2 (ADS is one) co.s that produce them and they are expensive. i have also read the free airs rattle the package tray pretty bad. so i have decided on the new square 8" kicker, sealed, which should mean pretty compact. ill aim it towards the right rear of the trunk. i will be driven by an MTX amp that is fitted just in front of the "pneumatic actuating box" in the right rear. ill need to heat gun the panel to make it fit better, but it should be OK. bear with me if i am repeating myself. i am going to try to use the factory amp inputs connected to an adjustable line level converter. the other amp fits perfectly on the left rear, behind the panel. ill use quick release speaker connecters at the woofer box if i need the room for some reason..ill try to replace the triangle speakers and custom fit them. i think ill not mess with the door speakers. i have a wiring diagram from MB and i should be able to exclude the rear door speakers. i predict it will easily sound better than factory.....my guess is that the single sealed 8 will kick pretty good...ill let you know if you are interested (and probably if you are not)
