door speakers 1991 190E

I installed a new radio with cd capability I removed the rheostat but have front and rear control in the radio, i still have the power booster in the trunk yet I can not get the door speakers to work any advise?

Are the speakers still connected to the fader switch and stock amplifier?

no faider but all the wires are still connected at the amp in the trunk
