cd changer 1995 e320

[E320Coup]

Looking for the cd changer (trunk) for a 95 e320. I am under the assumption that the car is prewired for this w/ connectors and power wiring as well.

Is this strictly a dealership item, or does anyone out there have one, in good working order, for sale?

I installed the unit last year and it works like a dream. Never skips and always sounds truely digital. Excellent upgrade!

But you might be out of luck when it comes to the adapter you need to plug into your pre-wired dash radio. The company I bought mine from last year claims "the product is not currently avail."

You will have to dig in the web to find an adapter on-line. I suggest you hurry before all the adapters are all gone.

The CD unit itself is the Alpine 620, but sorry...

Another good place to look is Autotoys.com You will need to look in the OEM Changers > OEM Compatible (regular) section, and then look for the 1994-1995 Mercedes with the square adapter (page 6 I believe).

Installation is a little tricky because the roof of the trunk does have matching bolt hole patters, so you will have to drill your own. Send me a pm and I will send you a pic or two of my install.

Final word of advise, search the archives. You will find LOTS of info on this topic.

scott hi. i have a 1993 400e is it possible that i can fit in a cd changer from 94 e 420 its an OEM changer and it came with the car my friend is selling the car so he asked me if i want to have teh cd chanager for free if yes what adapters would i be needeiong for that

The cd changer for the 94 will have connector on it that is not compatiable with the 93 set up.

As it such a uncommon need it is hardly practicle to build such an adapter. It is not availiable from any of the adapter manufactures.
