8 inch subs in the rear deck
is it possible to put 8 inch subs in the rear deck of a 300e? Will it give good bass?? or will 6x9 be a better choice?

subs in the rear deck
Yes they will fit and yes they can give you good bass. You can also fit 10s. There is a discussion about this in another thread. Do a search for free air or infinite baffle. The key will be finding the right subs. Not all subs work well in this application. The no-longer-produced JL Audio 10IB4s are great. I've heard Image Dynamics has a speaker whose specs indicate it will work well too. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. I'm thinking about doing it in my 1994 E500.
