1991 190E CD changer just stopped playing

Saturday 8/23 The CD Changer will load and unload he disk magazine, (6 disk Alpine?). I can push the disk select buttons on the radio and the unit will change to the appropriate disk. But, the disk or disks do not start spinning at all. The changer was working fine up until a week ago. Nothing else done on car or electrical system.


Update: (Sunday 8/24) I took out the unit, blew air into it to clean. Ran a lintless special rag thru and around the inside play area, wiggled and jiggled the wire and connections and checked the fuse. While I had it out sitting on edge...it worked, I changed disks from the radio and that worked. I put it back in and NO WORK! The unit will change disks, but they do not spin at all. ANy idea of this is a fixable issue by me opening up or is it time to find a replacement? If so, who, where, what do I replace with???

Tuesday 8/26 Any suggestions on what to replace it with? I assume I will need some sort of adapter to connect the 8 pin DIN and 4 pin power cables to interface with some latest model?
