Thanks to the replies and e-mails I got after posting last night. The search help was great. New head unit is in and sounds surprisingly great for a 'cheap' Pioneer. I'd have to say it sounds at least as good as the Eclipse I put in my W123 300D.
One last question.... my new head unit doesn't have a place for the antenna power wire... so the antenna is down. Is that correct, or should/can I splice it somewhere so it goes up and down with power to the unit? Or... what can I do with the power (black ... not the plug one) wire to get it to raise with the dash switch. Thanks. Doug |

Doug,
If the Head unit doesn't have a remote wire for the ant. then I would recommend connecting the ant. wire to the accessory on wire, the wire that comes from your ignition to power on the radio. The Ant will go up everytime you turn on the car and down when you turn it off, that is really the only thing you can do if the radio doesn't have a remote wire. Unless you want to install a separate switch. Good luck! Regards, Brian |
