W126 - gluing rear speakers to risers

I'm replacing the rear speakers in the SDL. I have the old speakers off the risers. The replacements fit over the riser with ~2mm overhang all the way around so Scott's trick of using an ABS ring inside the riser won't work for me. I figure I have to glue the speakers directly to the risers. What glue should I use? Should I finish up with caulk to isolate the back side from the front side?

Thanks,
Sixto

The other trick is to use the frame of the old speaker less the magnet and the rest of the structure and abs gllue it back in and mount to it. Usually you can get screws into it depending on your speaker choice.

Are there varieties of hot glue or is the sample stick that comes with the glue gun good enough?

I think I can put screws and have them bite the outer circumference of the riser as Scott suggested. Still need to insulate the basket with glue or caulk.

Thanks!

Where are the rear screws for the rear speakers? I tried taking my completley baked POS factory paper cone 'speakers' out but the rear mounting screws were illusive.

BTW, whoever took the Becker out and put in the Clarion butchered the wiring. I'm going to fix that.

Thanks
