CD Changer not working
I have a 2000 E320 Wagon with a fiber optic CD Changer. I have a the standard deck, not COMAND.
When I press CD on the deck, it responds with: "No CD Changer" The CD Changer is powered and connected. It accepts and ejects the CD magazine. Did my CD Changer go bad? That's what my local MB dealer thinks and they'll sell me a new changer but won't guarantee that it'll work. And to troubleshoot, they want to charge me $60/hr. |

argh!....mine exhibiting exactly the same in my 99 E320 sedan. I swung by the dealer who put in 20 mins of free time and said the connections looked fine and no obvious cause for this anomaly. I noted, with interest, that the Becker repair guy in Los Angeles area stated on his Web page that this was the leading gripes on factory units such as the ones we have.

Is headunit within the starmark warranty?
I have an extended starmark warranty.
MB dealer said that the CD Changer is not covered by the Starmark warranty but if it's a head unit problem, would that be covered? |
