My radio is possessed!!
The below quote is from a problem I was having a few weeks ago.
[My favorite station is 99.7. Also #1 on my preset channel list in my factory Mercedes radio. For about a month now that is all my radio shows (99.7). However no actual sound. None of the buttons work, I can't turn it on or off, up or down, I even tried putting in an old tape... nothing. Now here is the crazy part. When I turn off my car my radio still shows 99.7. I tried unpluging the fuse in the fuse box that connects to the ashtray, but no difference. And the really psyco part is that after I turn off my car if I put up the antenna and listen real close I can hear the damn RADIO! Is there any kind of quick fix to this problem?]
Well, the rebellious radio just decided to turn itself back on one day, and worked fine for a while. However, every now and then, it will just completley freeze when I start the engin. When the car is off it looks normal. And in a few days I will turn my car on and it will be working again!
When it is frozen, the numbers look like a smushed calculator screen. I always make sure to turn off the radio and let the antenna down before I turn off my car. What the freak is wrong with it ?!?!? Any suggestions, ideas or numbers to a good exorcist?
