Fuba Whip?

My 190E-16 has a bad Hirshman. Rather than replace it, maybe I can install a fuba whip? Is this possible, has anybody done this? I see M3s with Fubas from the factory, why not my 16v? Will it be compatible with the Becker radio? Thanks guys...
