Question A Couple detail questions

I have seen a few M119 engine bays that have the aluminum looking so bright and clean. I cleaned mine but it does not shine like when I bought it from Mercedes. Any particular product? I have searched "engine bay clean" etc. but to no avail.

The second question I have is detailing the burlwood on my 500E. No cracks, just little scratches in the seal or "coating" Do you just wax this or is there something better. I did not use the search for this and I will do it now so sorry for a possible repost

Thanks, Shaun
